Baltec IES can customise and manufacture Diverter Dampers to suit the size of the turbine. Diverters are available with either electric or hydraulic drive, depending on the customer's requirements, each type offering its own unique operating characteristics and features.
Smaller Diverters, with gas paths typically less than 3m x 3m square, are normally direct-drive, whereby the diverter blade is driven directly by the hydraulic or electric actuator. Diverters larger than 3m x 3m are usually toggle-drive, utilising a linkage mechanism to reduce the operating strain on the diverter blade and shaft.
For personnel safety and long product life, we design our Diverters, Elbows and Exhaust Stacks with cold shells, using a layer of ceramic fibre insulation between the inner stainless steel liner and outer duct surfaces. This ensures the equipment has an exterior temperature typically less than 50°C, even with exhaust gas temperatures in excess of 600°C.
Depeding on client requirements, Baltec IES includes silences into the the exhaust system to ensure that client specified acoustic requirements are met without compromising the performance of the gas turbine. Each silencer is secificially designed for each application and ensures that no compromises are made.
